The art of diagnostics lies in its simplicity.
Diagnosis does not automatically mean therapy. However, no therapy is effective without a precise diagnosis. A good diagnosis is based not on numerous tests, but on the few that are right.
Diagnostics means: recognizing through the human body
Diagnostics means: guessing, meeting, confirming
Diagnostics means: fast, direct, humane, empathetic, as painless as possible
Diagnostics means: conversation, communication, exchange of knowledge
Perfect diagnostics means effective therapy.
Ultrasound
The Doppler ultrasound technique is the simplest and most effective examination for detecting flow defects in the superficial venous system. It is quick and inexpensive, the device is portable and can be used anywhere. The examination is painless.
We use Doppler to diagnose 95% of clinical pictures.
The more expensive imaging ultrasound technology is used for the precise assessment of anatomical and functional changes. For complex venous and arterial vascular diseases, imaging color duplex ultrasound is now the standard diagnostic method.
Phlebography
Today, it is only used in selected cases to diagnose venous diseases that cannot be adequately detected by ultrasound.
In principle, phlebography has been replaced by painless and risk-free ultrasound in the diagnosis of varicose vein diseases.
It is still used in rare complex constellations of findings and in the diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis.
Discussion of findings
Every person is different!
Contrary to common generalizations and the generally known “time constraints” of the medical profession, the individual interaction between doctor and patient is arguably the most important aspect of diagnosing illnesses. The treatment options are as diverse as people themselves and must be discussed and coordinated in detail with the patients.
Patients at our Venesthetic® Vein Center are therefore generally offered 1 hour at their first visit to clearly define and agree on the procedure.
Consultation means: Gathering individual patient medical data, including medical history and family history, identifying and establishing a diagnosis, discussing potential therapeutic options, including anesthesia procedures, cost assessment, and scheduling the treatment appointment.
Initial examinations, diagnostics and discussion of findings are charged privately as a lump sum. Information on costs can be obtained by calling our reception desk all year round on weekdays from 09.00 to 18.00 on +43-(0)512-58855-22.
