Dear patient, dear guests of our Vein Center
Our vascular surgery and phlebology practice is a private medical facility without contracts with social insurance companies. All services are therefore invoiced to you personally, but can be submitted to social insurance companies and subsequently to all private health insurance companies in Austria and abroad for at least partial reimbursement. We perform operations at the Mavie Med Private Clinic in Wörgl; patients with appropriate private insurance are billed there directly, all others settle their costs with the clinic administration themselves.
Treatment Agreement:
Every new patient is offered an initial examination and consultation appointment lasting 1 hour through our reception desk, which is charged at a flat rate of € 195. During this initial meeting, all necessary findings will be recorded, and the required procedure will be discussed. If further treatment is required as a result, this will be invoiced separately according to the technical and time expenditure. Should you decide not to undergo any further treatment, you will receive a final medical report for your personal records and use, together with the invoice. Once a patient's data has been recorded and an examination or treatment appointment has been scheduled, a contractual relationship exists, which must be adhered to by both parties (see also GDPR).
Appointment Scheduling – Avoiding Waiting Times:
Because we operate a sophisticated practice model with fixed appointment scheduling through our reception, each patient is contractually bound to the agreed-upon appointments, which are confirmed by us in writing and reminded via SMS (if accepted). We, in turn, commit to adhering to the appointments just as precisely to save you waiting times, as you would otherwise experience in medical practices and outpatient clinics. Our reception is available for this purpose on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. throughout the year (no holiday closures!). Appointment rescheduling must be requested by telephone at least 48 hours before the start of the appointment; otherwise, a cancellation fee of €300 will be charged. It should be particularly noted that professional cancellations (e.g., required by the employer) are not legally permitted, and it is the employer's entrepreneurial risk if his employee has arranged a doctor's appointment. We refer here to a recommendation from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Health.
Adherence to Agreements:
At the end of each appointment, an agreement is made regarding the next steps. If these agreements include a specific, defined date, the patient – as well as us – is obligated to adhere to them. Otherwise, a default charge of at least €20 will be invoiced. This includes late payment fees or failure to provide feedback at an agreed-upon time, which would cause additional effort and costs for our reception.
Appointment cancellation due to illness:
Of course, no one can predict days in advance that they will be sick in bed on a particular day or too ill for the upcoming treatment. We assume that each of our patients, female and male, will treat their appointment with loyalty and respect, considering other patients who are urgently waiting for an appointment, and will inform us as soon as possible so that we still have enough time to offer an appointment to expectant patients at short notice.
Our Approach:
We are an exclusive, holistic medical practice dedicated to treating patients as individuals first, integrating technical examinations as a secondary step. We aim not only for flawless legs but also for genuine communication. This requires time and, therefore, management. We prioritize this management to ensure we can be there for all patients equally and keep our promises. Naturally, we also respect individuals who have different expectations, and we want to make them aware of this upfront.
